Our website address is: https://www.qualitativecafe.com. This site is run by Dr Carlee Gilbert, University of Liverpool, as an educational resource for research methods teaching.
The feedback form
If you submit the feedback form on this site, we collect whatever you enter in the form fields, along with your IP address and the time of submission (collected automatically by the form software to help prevent spam). This information is stored in the website’s database and may also be sent to the site owner’s email inbox.
Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors can extract this from images on the site.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. A small number of technical cookies may be set by the hosting platform or form software to allow the site to function correctly; these do not identify you personally.
Embedded content and third-party services
This site loads fonts from Google Fonts. Visiting a page on this site may cause your browser to request these fonts directly from Google’s servers, which involves sending your IP address to Google. Google’s privacy policy is available at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Who we share your data with
Feedback form submissions are stored on this website’s hosting server (provided by DreamHost) and are not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
How long we retain your data
Feedback submissions are retained to help improve the site and inform an ongoing teaching evaluation project, and are deleted when no longer needed for that purpose.
What rights you have over your data
You can request a copy of any personal data we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by contacting carlee.gilbert@liverpool.ac.uk. This does not include data we are required to keep for legal or administrative reasons.
